  11. Thanks for inviting me over Dakota! I had never been by before and now that I know where you are, I'll be back! As for my answer to your question...

I'd leave the hubby at home so someone could take care of the kids (otherwise I'd have to leave one of them off the island...) So I would bring:

1)Damon from Vampire Diaries (he's even more fun than Ian Somerhalder)
2)My self-charging kindle loaded with books
3)A nice blanket to help avoid some of that sand with all extra-curricular activities. ;)

  18. (You're stranded on a tropical island for the holiday...what's three things you'd have to have?")

Hmmm...I would look at it as a vacation for a day...(1 day right?) It would be ME time...relaxing and catching upon my reading. Since it's a tropical island there has to be some type of fruit, etc. on it so I wouldn't need to bring food. My 3 items would be:

    1. my solar powered charger
    2. my nook
    3. satelite music radio for company

I am single so no worries about family until I got home. We would celebrate the holiday then. This is all of course dependent on people knowing where I am but can't get to me for the next 1-2 days. After that panic will set in! LOL

This was fun. I had to think it through a bit about the approach.

    Thanks for the opportunity!
